Scenario: You are on highway patrol when you observe a vehicle traveling 45 mph over the posted limit, weaving between lanes. You initiate a traffic stop. As you approach the vehicle, the driver is visibly intoxicated, becomes verbally aggressive, and refuses to exit the vehicle or provide identification. A second unit is 8 minutes out. How do you handle this situation, step by step?
